Wits University and the National Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences hosted renowned Kenyan author Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o on Thursday 02 March 2017

Ruben WaKa Sithole succinctly captured the essence of the talk in a series of face book posts.

Ruben Waka Sithole is an Economic Feedom Fighter who has an interest articulating & understanding that of African socio economic challenges.  He is studying towards an Hons in Economics.

“Wa Thiong’o is a novelist and theorist of post-colonial literature and currently a Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of California. He is a recipient of 11 Honorary Doctorates and an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Some of his early works include Weep not Child, The River Between, A Grain of Wheat, Secret Lives and Decolonising the Mind.” (WITS SITE)
